- True. But you can fall back to smaller frames if the line turns out to
- be poor. (Or reduce carrier speed. Optimizing this is not trivial.) Of
- course, if your use SREJ - which *can* be advantageous on impaired lines
- - you have to keep retransmitting that broken large frame and can only
- fall back to smaller ones after you have finally managed to transfer it
- successfully.
